Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a high school student with exceptional physical abilities. His life takes a dramatic turn when he swallows a cursed object, a finger belonging to the powerful Ryomen Sukuna.
As a result of consuming Sukuna's Finger, Yuji becomes the vessel for Ryomen Sukuna, a feared and powerful cursed spirit. This forces him to enroll at Tokyo Jujutsu High, where he begins training as a jujutsu sorcerer under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo.
Yuji's primary goal is to collect and consume all of Sukuna's fingers in order to eliminate the curse and ultimately sacrifice himself, preventing Sukuna from permanently resurfacing. Despite the grim circumstances, Yuji is optimistic, kind, and determined to protect others from curses. He struggles with the moral implications of hosting Ryomen Sukuna and the potential danger he poses to those around him.
